🚚 Internship at Galan Logistics – The First Step Toward a Career in Logistics 🚚

02.09.2025

Logistics, transport, and international freight forwarding are industries that demand flexibility, teamwork skills, and the ability to respond quickly to change. Students often learn the theory at university, but it is only through hands-on experience at a freight forwarding company that they truly understand what transport planning, organizing shipments, and communicating with clients and business partners look like in practice.

For many years, Galan Logistics has been cooperating with academic institutions in Poland, including the University of Szczecin. This year, the university received funding from the European Union for the project “University of Szczecin – Support for Degree Programs in Key Sectors for Economic Development.” The goal of the project is to adapt study programs to labor market needs and support both green and digital transformation.

As part of the project, our company welcomed two first-year Logistics students – Milena Gąsiorek and Yana Ravlyk – for an internship at the Galan Logistics branch in Gorzów Wielkopolski, where they are working as Forwarding Assistants.

👉 During their internship, they are learning about operational processes, tools used in the daily work of a freight forwarder, and are supporting the development projects of the Forwarding and Marketing departments. They also have the opportunity to be involved in handling international transport to Scandinavia – a market where Galan Logistics has been operating for nearly 20 years.

Mentors’ Insights:
Tomasz Sobel – Development Manager, Gorzów Wielkopolski Branch:
“Working in freight forwarding requires responsibility and collaboration skills. I’m glad we can show the students how theory translates into daily practice and how transport is organized in one of the most demanding markets – Scandinavia.”

Zbigniew Żuczkowski – Branch Manager, Gorzów Wielkopolski Branch:
“We invest in the development of young people because we know it’s an investment in the future of the industry. The interns bring a fresh perspective and energy, and we have the opportunity to help shape future logistics professionals.”

Shared Value:
The project, coordinated by the Career Services Office of the University of Szczecin, combines three key elements: education, business, and institutions supporting the professional development of young people.

For Galan Logistics, participating in such initiatives is an opportunity for growth and gaining new perspectives. For students, it’s the first step in building a professional career.

🌍 We believe that the experience gained will help our interns spread their wings, and help our company draw inspiration and continue building a strong brand in the international transport and freight forwarding market.

🚀 This is a great example of how cooperation between academia and business supports labor market development in the region and creates a solid foundation for the future of the entire industry.
